RWE Innovationszentrum Kohle Niederaußem

Das Innovationszentrum Kohle am Standort Niederaußem ist jetzt auch für Besucher zugänglich. An interaktiven Exponaten können sich Fachbesucher und Bürger eingehend über Technik und Funktionen das Kraftwerk informieren und entdecken, wie dort neue Technologien zur effizienteren Energiegewinnung und -nutzung erprobt werden.
Ein Avatar begrüßt die Gäste und macht auf die vielfältigen Möglichkeiten der Ausstellung aufmerksam. Herzstück des Informationszentrums ist ein reales Modell des Kraftwerkkomplexes – hier wird die komplexe Welt der Stromerzeugung interaktiv erfahrbar.
Die Navigation durch die Themen Braunkohle, CO2 und Zukunftstechnologien erfolgt über plastische Regler. Auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite können die Besucher über ein intuitives Touch-Interface virtuelle Informationen auswählen, die auf dem Kraftwerksmodell gehighlightet werden. So werden die Kraftwerksprozesse interaktiv und räumlich erfahrbar.
Übergreifende Konzernthemen wie Erneuerbare Energien oder weltweite CSR-Projekte sind zusätzlich auf einem 65“-Multitouch-Screen verfügbar.

Sonntags von 10 bis 17 Uhr geöffnet. Besuchergruppen ab 15 Personen können nach Terminvereinbarung das Informationszentrum auch montags bis samstags besuchen.

The innovation centre Kohle at the Niederaussern location is now open to the public. With interactive exhibits, professional visitors as well as the public can gather information about power plant technology and functions and explore how new technologies for more efficient energy generation and –use are tested.
An Avatar greets the guest and points out the various options in the exhibits. The heart of the information centre is the realistic model of a power plant – here you can interactively experience the complex world of power generation.
The topics of lignite, CO² and future technology can be navigated with control functions. On the opposite side, the visitors can select virtual information with an intuitive touch-interface, which will then be highlighted on the power plant model,. The power plant processes can be experienced interactively.
Corresponding corporate topics, such as renewable energies or global CSR-projects are also available on a 65” multi-touch screen.
Opening hours: Sundays from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Groups of 15 or more people may visit the information centre from Monday – Friday with prior appointment.
